Home School Support Groups meet a very valuable need. They are wonderful for fellowship, encouragement, inspiration, resources, and just plain fun. If you are new to homeschooling you will find a Home School Support group helps you with getting started in your Home Education. If you are a veteran home educator, you are an amazing resource for new comers and their enthusiasm helps you remember why you started this adventure!
CHER is refreshing and continuing to compile a list of Home School Support Groups across Canada. Check for a support group in your area in the list below. If your support group is not listed, please let us know. If there isn't one for you - start one! If you are moving to a new part of Canada - we hope you can find new contacts here.
Please fill in the form at the bottom of this list and email the information to CHER@CanadianHomeEducation.com Also, we would be very happy if you could include our web address www.CanadianHomeEducation.com on your support group website. We have been told repeatedly that we are a great resource to all home school families. And we hope to continue working towards that goal. At the bottom of this page there is a tag that you can put on your website to show a link to our website. Copy and paste the code below the CHER Logo box, and it will appear on your site. Thanks for including us!

AHEA has worked hard for 35 years to address the larger needs of the community of home educators by speaking to and working with the Alberta government, as well as other groups throughout the province, in order to educate, advocate and protect the needs of these families. They also put on an annual AHEA Convention. AHEA is Christian in its perspective on its advocacy, educational philosophy and events. They have become a well recognized and significant voice in the education community for their year-round work. They appreciate your financial support via donations. The AHEA conference takes place in Red Deer Alberta each spring. It is well worth attending. It is obvious in all the attention to detail as well as the way home educators are made to feel welcomed at this event that the AHEA board has worked hard to provide a first class home school conference. For more information check out the CHER Conference List. |
