K-3 Volume 5 - Art of the Northern Countries: Rennaissance to Realism
As young learners create and respond to art of the Northern Countries, they will discover where the long lasting tradition of Realism in Western art began. This book tells the stories of artists that changed the way we look at nature, from Durer's tuft of grass, painted in 1503 to the great landscape painters of the 19th century: Turner, Millet, and Corot. Children work with printmaking, watercolor, charcoal, and oil pastel.
It is recomended that you start with Volume 1. Then move on to Volumes 2-8 as you explore art history in chronological order, or skip to any other Volume with a time period of your choice.
