December 2009 - HSLDA Canada and Canadian Centre for Home Education (CCHE)have produced a new study called Fifteen Years Later: Home-Educated Canadian Adults. You can follow the links here to read the study .

August 2009 - NEW STUDY SHOWS HOMESCHOOLERS EXCEL ACADEMICALLY Home School Legal Defense Association in a study conducted by Dr. Brian Ray of the National Home Education Research Institute has come out with statistics that confirm what past studies have shown. That is that home schooled students are, on average, exceeding the academic results of public school children. While these studies are from the US, I am sure the statistics reflect our Canadian Home Schoolers as well. How do home education kids fare in research studies? There are great reports on research from Raymond & Dorothy Moore, Dr. Brian D. Ray, Michael P. Farris, Christopher J. Klicka, and others from the United States. But what about Canadian home school students? Check Home Education in Canada: A Report on the Pan-Canadian Study on Home Education 2003

The Frazer Institute released a report on Home Education. You can read a Review on the Frazer Institute Report on Home Education. Titled "Home schooling improves academic performance and reduces impact of socio-economic factors" and released October 04, 2007, this report also puts a positive slant on home education.

An interview you may find interesting is the one between home school dad Paul Suarez and pastor John McArthur .When asked about home educated students, John McArthur began by saying "Regarding home-school kids, we have a lot of home-schooled young people applying, and I will tell you this: across the board, they generally perform as our best students....."
