Spelling Power is based on solid, proven research into what makes the most effective spelling program. Allowing students to move at their own pace, Spelling Power is thorough, yet it takes just 15 minutes per day for students to become strong spellers for life. Three versions of the same word list are provided: basic spelling, challenge, and super challenge. Students begin with the basic spelling list and advance to more complex forms of the same words as they become ready. Lessons consist of separate sections that focus on the related activities of spelling, meaning, and writing, offering multiple exposures for each word. Students cement their mastery of spelling words as they practice using them in context and in everyday writing.
