Madeleine Takes Command

A true story of real courage set in Canada. The year is 1692 and 14 year old Madeleine Verchere is left in command of the fort by her parents. The Iroquois have not attacked in two years, and her parents feel confident in this decision. What ensues leaves us an example of ingenuity and bravery in troubling times.
