ACSI Spelling 2 Workbook

Expansion of the basic spelling skills from grade one to include alternate spellings for basic sounds, simple suffixes and the addition of words with two or more syllables. Class activities reinforce these concepts with a variety of activities.


A spelling study strategy:

- look at the word

- say the word and listen to the sound

- think about how each sound is spelled


- picture the word in your mind

- are there any spelling patterns

- write the word

- check your spelling

- does your spelling match the correct spelling
