The first time I saw SSRW, I thought it was a lot of fluff. But when I took a closer look, I realized it is a solid, phonics based program. I used it with my third child with great results. Over the years, many families have told us how well it has worked for them.

SSRW kits now have improved graphics, and more testing. Teaches reading, writing, phonics, spelling and speaking through a multi-sensory approach designed to take advantage of the many ways children learn. Colorful and fun, it uses songs, games, story books, and more. Includes cassette tapes and CDs, instructor's video, instructor's manual, readers, 2 workbooks, an assessment book, and games. Children enjoy ""school"" with this approach.
