You don't need to be an art expert to teach art appreciation to your children. This is a very inviting program which includes postcard-size color reproductions. The steps in the program take you further into recognizing famous paintings, artists, and schools of art. It includes ideas for an art time line. You will need the first book-Child Size Masterpieces Guide Book as well as additional books of picture postcards to get started.



Each of the three volumes of Child-Size Masterpieces which cover Steps 1, 2, and 3 contain 36 postcard-size art reproductions to be cut out and used for matching identical paintings, pairing two paintings by the same artist and grouping four paintings by the same artist. Particularly chosen to appeal to young children, the selections include a wide variety of subjects and styles. Appropriate for 3-6 year-olds in 3 levels of gradually increasing challenge, but used for all ages in introducing art appreciation.
