Isobel Miller was beautiful, talented, popular-and miserable enough to consider suicide as an escape from her unsatisfying life. At least she began a rewarding search for God that lasted her entire life. Eager to share the reviving gospel, Isobel and her husband, John, traveled deep into China's southern mountains to a tribe called the Lisu. In spite of occasional antagonism and the rugged mountain life, Isobel grew to love the region and the people. When the shadow of war threatened the Kuhns' ministry, Isobel realized that her trust in God would have to grow still deeper.
